“Behold, I go forward, but he is not there, and backward, but I do not perceive him; on the left hand when he is working, I do not behold him; he turns to the right hand, but I do not see him.”Job 23:8-9
There are seasons in our lives where we cannot see God or understand what He is doing. It is in those seasons that our faith is purified. We learn to trust despite our circumstances and hold on even when we cannot “perceive” or understand what He is doing. The fact is, whether we can see Him or not, He sees us, and that is what really matters. The very next verse in the passage is, “But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold.” Job 23:10
“Behold, I go forward, but he is not there, and backward, but I do not perceive him; on the left hand when he is working, I do not behold him; he turns to the right hand, but I do not see him. BUT HE KNOWS the way that I take . . . ” Job 23:8-10
