Today as I was walking down the street I caught the eye
Of a man dressed up in something, had on wings and waved wand with ribbons
Ridiculous it seemed but then the thought struck me
Maybe that’s how we all look to You

Pretending we have wings, and a magic wand adorned with ribbons
Ridiculous it sounds, but I think it might be true
This might be how we all look to You
Blind to our brokenness
Trusting in the appearance of things
It’s so ridiculous

Lord help us see beyond what our own eyes see…to see beyond the superficiality of things and recognize what You see. That through Your eyes, they mean so much more.
