“Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.” 1 Corinthians 10:24
This is one of the hardest things for us to do as followers of Jesus. It is easy to think about ourselves—what we want and what we need. But Jesus wants us to think about what others need and he wants us to do our best to meet those needs. He said, “Treat others the way you want to be treated” (Luke 6:31) and “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31).
Can you think of someone you can try to help? Maybe your mom or dad or a neighbor or friend? Or maybe your family knows of another family who is in need? Showing kindness and love to others is so important to Jesus. He always takes good care of us… he wants us to take good care of others.
